We all know that with age, comes the slow break down of our body and it's senses. Sure we all have seen that person who just turned 100 years old and still drives a car, jogs 3 miles a day, and does not need Viagra. Unfortunately this is not as common as we all would like to see. For the vast majority of senior adults hand coordination and eyesight are among the first tihngs to depreciate with age.
With this in mind, I have created this page to make you aware that I also can make puzzles that are not cut into tiny little pieces. I can easily cut my puzzles with larger pieces (And thus fewer), since I make them all by hand... anything goes! Do you have an older parent or grandparent that really enjoyed puzzles in the past, then try one of my "Large Cut" puzzles. They most likely will love them! These are the same Puzzles that I make for younger children.
I recommend my Child Cut for younger school age children. It is a simple large cut, yet a lot of fun. These pieces are above average in size, each piece being about 2 to 5 square inches in area. This cut is a great learning tool for young people, teaching and assisting them with -------> 30 to 75 piece puzzles are ideal for most 4 to 6 year old children. Common uses for puzzles with large pieces include... - Young Children ages 3-5 for early Spatial Skills Development and dexterity. - Autistic Children and young adults, as jigsaw puzzles in many cases are very helpful in interacting with and entertaining an autistic child. - Senior Citizens who suffer from a variety of vision or dexterity issues. These larger puzzle pieces enable them to still enjoy a jigsaw puzzle. - Alzheimer's disease patients. Jigsaw puzzles help with image recognition, memory, and exercising of the brain to help prolong thinking activity and stimulation of the mind. - Guest Book Puzzles - A type of jigsaw puzzle that MGC Puzzles developed back in in 1997 to be used as a guest book / signature board at any kind of gathering event. A Wedding, 25th or 50th wedding anniversary, Retirement Parties etc. |
Solving skills Helps with creative thinking Perfectly sized pieces for senior puzzlers with poor or failing vision! MOST IMPORTANT... puzzles are a lot of fun! Have each of your guests sign the back of a puzzle piece at your wedding reception! I have made many of these puzzles, and all have been wonderfully unique and very well received! After your special event, frame the puzzle with a clear "plexi-glass" backing, for convenient viewing of what each guest wrote to you on your very special day! Guest book puzzles for Weddings, Anniversaries, Retirements, Birthday Parties, or other formal family gathering affair! |
