Since Early 1999, I have offered the service of producing images from your digital image files using state of the art professional "photograph quality" color printers! Since February 2003, the INKS I print my puzzle images with are archival, and rated for 70-200 years of life when exposed to average room light (Not Direct Sunlight). Now your puzzles will really stand the test of time, and should look as good in the year 2085, as they do today!

This option for having me print your images from a digital file allows you to easily send me your high resolution image scans for your custom puzzles right from your home or office, at the click of your mouse! It is that simple! I offer two classifications of this printing service.

Digital images should be saved in either .EPS, .PDF, .TIFF - or high resolution .JPG image format.

IMAGE SIZE:
It is ideal if you can scan and create your image in the exact size to be used for your puzzle, basically meaning that if you want an 11"x14" puzzle, we will tell the printer to print your image file at 100% size, and it will come out as an 11"x14" image. If you are scanning an original photo that is 5" x 7", you will need to can it at 120% enlargement in order to reach a file size of 11" x 14".

RESOLUTION:
Ideal Resolution should be between 200dpi to no more than 300dpi, at the ACTUAL SIZE of the puzzle you are ordering.

FILE SIZE:
The image files sent to me via e-mail should not be larger than 16 Megabytes. If you can not get your image file size to be smaller than 16 Megabytes, contact me, so you can send me your image(s) (Up to 700MB in file size) on a CD, via US Mail, FedEx or UPS, accompanied WITH a Color PROOF print out so that we will be able to ensure that the colors are being represented correctly. This color proof should be at least the size of a standard sheet of paper, and printed on a high quality bright white paper for true color representation.

If you are familiar with FTP, you can post your image file to an FTP site, and forward me the address to download it from the web, as an alternative to sending me a larger file on a CD or ZIP disc. This feature is especially nice in cases where orders have a very short deadline!

If you wish to send me more than one image by e-mail, you must NOT compress the images into a single e-mail message. Instead, send each image in a separate e-mail message as a NON-Compressed file attachment. (NO .MIME or .EXE files)

Please do not send me Power point Presentations, Microsoft Word Documents or any other type of document that is not a.EPS, .PDF, .TIFF, or .JPG format. I will not be able to use any such files to create an image for your custom puzzle.

Please use these simple steps prior to sending me your image.

1) Call me at so that I can first talk to you about the features of my puzzles, and so that we can determine what physical size we will need your image to be in order to reach your targeted puzzle piece count.

2) After we have talked by phone, you can create and send or e-mail me your .TIFF, .JPG image file, along with ALL of the following information.

a) Please fill out my online order form. When completed and successfully submitted, print a copy of the order form for your records.
a) Your Full Name and title (Mr. Mrs. etc...)
b) Your complete home mailing address (Work too, if you want the puzzle(s) sent there) (Or enclose a printed copy of your order, Skip C & D)
c) Your daytime and evening Phone numbers, so that I can reach you if I have any additional questions.
d) Re-state any special Figurals that you want to have cut in your puzzle, along with any other special instructions.
e) If your puzzle is a gift, please let me know if I need to reach you ONLY at work, or at a special e-mail address accessible only by you.
f) Title your image file with your name. (EXAMPLE: dorothy_smith_picture01.jpg -- douglas_jones_proposal1.jpg)
